Support to UNEP's Integrated Environment Project, Sudan

Project dates: December 2009 - November 2010

ProAct Network is providing support to the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in environmental sustainability-related activities in Sudan.

The overall UNEP programme seeks to build the capacity of selected communities, government authorities, and national and international NGOs in Sudan, in general, and in particular in Darfur, regarding the management and use of natural resources.

ProAct Network will implement three components to this programme, namely:

  1. Capacity building and technical support to Community Environmental Action Plans (CEAPs)
  2. Darfur Alternative Energy Project (DAEP)
  3. Humanitarian Environmental Integration Project (HEIP)
